Portrait-style painting with "Victorian" type of fashion. Not very knowledgable about dress design, I did lots of searching and found a great dress from the movie "Vanity Fair". I used Marta Dahlig's costume brushes for the dress, and a lot of other brushes to paint little neurotic details all over the place.

II had a lot of fun with the lighting - I used references from lots of Old Master portraits (and some Cgsociety paintings that are in a similar style) to get the lighting down, and experimented a lot. Also looked at lots of amazing Zbrush models for the lighting. It's amazing how detailed talented people get with those models. Looking at those helped me with the chest and shoulder lighting and the little dips and divots that you might otherwise not notice.

I posted some of my references here: http://img255.imageshack.us/my.php?image=51364209wu7.jpg

I'll post some close-ups so you get a sense of the little brushwork.
All done in Photoshop over a course of a month.

Let me know what you think and thanks for looking!!
